Select Garden Journal

Editorial policy

Select Garden Journal aims to make garden design easier to read without presenting taste as fact. We value clear explanations, careful wording and visible distinctions between editorial work and paid placements.

Accuracy and care

We review editorial copy for clarity, consistency and factual accuracy before publication. Where a topic depends on context, we say so rather than imply that one approach fits every garden. We do not claim to have tested products or visited places unless that work has actually been done and is stated in the article.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made on their relevance to the publication and its readers. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or a particular conclusion. Partner material does not determine the subject or conclusions of independent editorial work.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and the point at issue. We assess correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.

Paid work and illustrations

Sponsored material and partner placements are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations and should not be read as documentary photographs.
